On April 30, 2026, Doreen passed away peacefully at Riverview Health Centre.
She was predeceased by her husband Ron, son Bruce, parents Phil and Mary Keohane, her sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and Brian Fortune.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughters Melanie Hodel of Winnipeg, MB and Marcy Hodel and grandson Duran Laurie of Vancouver, BC as well as many extended family members.
Special thanks to the 2 West staff at Riverview including Doctor Blom and Doctor Gilmore.
A funeral service and reception will be held on Saturday, May 23 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street in Winnipeg.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Respiratory Chronic Care Unit at Riverview Health Centre, One Morley Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0Z1

We're so deeply sorry to hear about the loss of your Mom. Your parents' love and warmth when we lived on Arthur Wright left a forever mark on our hearts 💕. We still remember their big smiles and the way your Dad would walk right in, making us feel like family, and your Mom Doreen's peaceful presence as she sat in a chair on the side drive, watching over everyone with love.
